Visit Ghana with Annie J. Daniel
During the Summer of 2000, I had an opportunity to participant in the Study Aboard Program - LSU in Ghana at Louisiana State University (LSU).  This program allowed students to study courses taught by LSU professors (Dr. Durant and Dr. Euba) at the University of Ghana in Ghana, West Africa.  These courses were designed to introduce the students to Ghanaian culture, families and region.
As a participant in the courses, I decided to create this web page for my students.  I am a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher in the public school system in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Many of the students I teach will never have an opportunity to visit Ghana, West Africa; but they will have an opportunity to experience the land, the people, the culture, the food, the fashions and more by visiting this web site.
This web page was designed to take my students and other that may visit this site on a tour of Ghana.  Through web site links, personal pictures and narratives,  Ghana will become alive and real to visitors of this site.  Ghana has a very unique culture and in some aspects is very similar to South Louisiana.  I will show some of these similarities as you tour Ghana on this web site. AKWAABA!
